Not all items can be collected and processed by Emmons Service. The following items should not be thrown into one of our roll-off containers:
- Yard waste
  - Grass
  - Leaves
  - Dirt
  - Brush
- Computer monitors
- Any liquid
- Freon-containing appliances*
  - Refrigerators
  - Freezers
  - Air conditioners
  - Dehumidifiers
- Automotive items
  - Tires
  - Batteries*
  - Gas tanks
*can be brought to Emmons' recycling drop-off site at no charge
